Evaluate technology through the treatment plan

Advanced equipment is useful when it is selected for the right concern. The consultation should connect the device or technique to your needs instead of starting with technology alone.

Start with the concern

Texture, skin laxity, hydration, localized contour, and volume changes are different treatment goals. Tell the provider which change matters most and what you have tried before. That conversation determines whether a technology-based procedure is relevant at all.

Our Opus technology overview explains the platform, while the individual Opus service pages explain the treatment choices and appointment questions.

Compare intensity, recovery, and alternatives

Ask why the proposed approach fits your skin or treatment area, what degree of change is realistic, and how much recovery it involves. A more intensive procedure is not automatically a better choice for your goal.

For a cleansing and hydration appointment, explore HydraFacial. For expression lines or selected volume concerns, compare injectable treatments. Each approach should have a clear purpose.

Look beyond a device name

Understand who performs the treatment, how suitability is assessed, which risks apply, and what follow-up is provided. Ask whether the exact handpiece, application, or procedure you researched is offered at the practice.

Before-and-after examples are most useful when the number of visits, timing, and other treatments are explained. They help you discuss preferences but cannot predict your individual response.

Budget for the complete course

Clarify the treatment area, number of proposed sessions, preparation, aftercare products, and any separate follow-up charges. If a series is recommended, ask how the response will be reassessed along the way.

You can request a consultation without selecting equipment or a procedure in advance. Bring your questions and let the assessment determine the appropriate next step.

Let’s talk about your next step.
